CHA is now offering Telehealth (video and phone visits). This is a safe and secure way to connect with your CHA doctor or care team.

If You Need a Visit

To schedule a visit, just call your CHA Care Center or specialty clinic. We will help decide if a phone, video or in-person visit will work best for you. After a telehealth visit your care team may ask to see you in person, depending on your needs.

Patient Questionnaires:

We may ask you questions in MyCHArt. Your answers will be reviewed by your care team and will become part of your medical record.

Video Telehealth Appointments

CHA outpatient psychiatry appointments are now available by Telehealth (video or phone call visits).

Follow these simple instructions to prepare for your Telehealth appointment.

What to expect in the next few days

  1. Your CHA care team will call you to convert your upcoming appointments to telehealth visits. Only urgent visits are available in person.
  2. We will confirm your correct phone number and email address, and offer an interpreter if needed.
  3. We will help you sign up for MyChart, if you don’t have an account. MyChart is CHA’s patient portal. It is a good way to communicate with your care team for non-urgent matters. You will also receive reminder messages through MyChart before your televisit.
  4. We will walk you through the process on the phone or send you a link to your email with instructions to sign up. We’ll stay on the phone with you until you’re connected if needed.

How to sign up for MyCHArt from your phone or computer

  • You will get an email with the subject “Signup information for MyCHArt”
  • Open the email, click on the activation link in the email
  • Create a username, a password, and enter your date of birth as an identity verification
  • Please review the terms and conditions carefully. After accepting these, click SUBMIT

The day before your appointment

  1. You will receive a phone call reminding you of your upcoming telehealth visit
  2. If you have a MyCHArt account, you will receive a message with a link to access these instructions on our website

Prepare for your videocall

Instructions for phones and tablets:

  1. Go to the App Store, Google Play Store, or the Android Store
  2. Download and Install “Hangouts Meet” (YouTube video instructions)
  3. At the time of your appointment, your provider will email a link to the email address you previously gave your CHA care team. Please do not reply to this automated message. If you need to contact your provider, please contact your clinic.
  4. After opening the email, click “join meeting” and the visit will begin
