Mask Alert

As of January 31, 2026, the Mass. Department of Public Health is reporting a drop in flu and COVID across the state. However, because these illnesses have caused hospitalizations, emergency visits, and a combined 431 deaths in the state this season (learn more here), CHA is continuing measures to protect our most vulnerable patients.

As of Monday, February 10, 2026:

Masking is now optional in most patient care areas

Masks are still required in the Infusion Clinics and our Geriatric Behavioral Health Unit at CHA Everett Hospital (Lewis 2).

You can get a high-quality mask at all facility entrances.

Other Safety Reminders:

  • Stay Home if Sick: Any visitor with a fever, cough, sore throat, or other symptoms should reschedule your visit.

  • Get Vaccinated: It’s not too late to get your flu shot!
