The Community Behavioral Health Center (CBHC) is our front door for behavioral health care. People of all ages can get help for routine, urgent, and crisis mental health conditions and substance use needs.  

How it works

  Call us in a crisis or for a referral. Our team can support your needs and get you connected to care.
  
  
• Behavioral Health Urgent Care
  Walk-in evaluation and treatment
  Cambridge Hospital, 1st Floor  |  CHA Malden Care Center, 2nd Floor
  Mon-Fri 8am - 8pm, Sat/Sun 9am - 5pm (closed major holidays)
  
  
• Mobile Crisis Services 
  Our 24/7 mobile crisis clinicians work with first responders to help people by phone, or face-to-face in community locations. Typical response time for mobile crisis services is 1 hour. 

Note: in medical emergencies, always call 911.

Once people are evaluated by the CBHC, they will be connected to care based on their needs. Recommendations may include medication consultation and management, individual or group therapy, meetings with a recovery coach, peer specialist, or family support specialist, hospitalization, or other services.

Community Behavioral Health Centers make it easier for people to get help for mental health and substance use needs. We are open every day and have a help line available 24/7. We offer routine appointments, urgent walk-in visits, and crisis services.
