During ambulatory rotations, residents have an academic half day each week (on Thursday mornings) specifically dedicated to ambulatory education. During these seminars, expert faculty from around the institution teach about topics in ambulatory medicine.
Carefully developed curricula have been developed to ensure that major topics in ambulatory medicine, involving clinical medicine as well as risk management, the health care system, and professionalism are covered in depth during the three years of training.
