The Psychiatry Emergency team is trained to diagnose patients during a mental health crisis and manage their immediate needs. We do this with understanding and compassion. Once patients are stabilized, and out of immediate danger, we determine the best setting for ongoing care. This may be a hospital bed at CHA or another local hospital, or outpatient care, as appropriate.
