Urgent Care

Alert: Some CHA centers and services will be closed during the Thanksgiving holiday. Please see this schedule for details.

It’s Not an Emergency, But it’s Urgent!

Sometimes you need to get care at off hours or when your regular provider isn’t available. CHA has two new urgent care partners to meet your needs.

CareWell Urgent Care CenterSomerville, Cambridge areas: CHA is partnering with Carewell to provide urgent care to our patients. Carewell has sites in Cambridge and Somerville and lets you book your urgent care visit online. Visit their website for more details.

Coordinated Care

Both Carewell and Beth Israel Deaconess Urgent Care share their medical records with CHA electronically. This means that your CHA provider will be able to follow up with you after your urgent care visit if you need. This gives you the most coordinated care possible.

The Right Care, at the Right Time

As a CHA patient, we want you to get the right care, at the right time, in the most appropriate setting:

  • Primary Care. Your CHA primary care team is your home for health care. They are here for check-ups, screenings, sick visits and ongoing care.
  • Urgent Care. All CHA care centers offer sick visits. But if you can’t make it to your doctor, CHA’s urgent care partners are a convenient option for you and your family.
  • Emergencies. Urgent care is not a replacement for true emergencies. If you think you are having a life threatening emergency, call 911. Remember, CHA has 24-hour emergency care at CHA Cambridge Hospital, CHA Somerville Hospital, and CHA Everett Hospital (see online wait times).
