Mental Health & Addictions

Service Update:

Due to COVID-19, most CHA outpatient psychiatry appointments are now by Telehealth (video or phone call visits). Visit our Telehealth page for directions on how to set up this service.

Caring for People of all Ages

Sometimes, life can be hard. Knowing where to turn for help can make all the difference.

CHA is a Harvard Teaching Hospital and a leader in mental health services, teaching and research. We care deeply about people and provide support to improve lives.

We serve people of all ages with wide range of needs. This includes counseling, therapy, group programs and medication management. We also offer special care for chronic mental illness, addiction and 24-hour emergency and hospital services.

Your Care at its Best

Your Culture, Your Language

CHA serves patients from across the globe - with bilingual providers, linguistic clinics and interpreters in 75 languages. This makes mental health care more accessible for patients who may be hesitant to seek out these services.

Inclusive, LGBTQ+ affirming care

We recognize the LGBTQ+ community has unique needs. That's why we offer a Gender and Sexuality Clinic for children, adolescents and families. We are also expanding Transgender Services to meet community needs.

Highly trained, expert staff

As a Harvard Medical School Teaching Hospital, CHA has more than 400 staff on the Harvard faculty; helping patients, teaching students, mentoring trainees and conducting important research.
