Every day, CHA provides world-class healthcare to our neighbors—regardless of their ability to pay. Your support ensures that everyone in our community can access the care they need, when they need it.

When you give to CHA, you're doing more than making a donation—you're changing lives.

$25 provides a blood pressure monitor for a patient managing hypertension; $500 funds two behavioral health appointments for an underserved youth; and $1,000 provides an oxygen concentrator to help a pulmonary care patient breathe easier. A gift of $5,000 or more can help fund specialized equipment–an infusion chair, a mammography unit, or surgical robot–to advance diagnostic care and treatment.

Planned Giving

There are many ways to make a gift using non-cash assets.

Stocks & Mutual Funds

Donate appreciated securities and avoid capital gains tax while claiming a full fair-market-value deduction. It's one of the most tax-efficient ways to give.

Example:

You purchased stock for $5,000 that's now worth $15,000. By donating the stock directly:
You avoid $2,000+ in capital gains tax
You claim a $15,000 charitable deduction CHA receives the full $15,000

Donor Advised Funds (DAF)

Already have a DAF? Recommend a grant to the CHA Foundation quickly and easily through your fund provider.

Benefits: You received the tax deduction when you funded your DAF, and now you can direct support to CHA with no additional tax paperwork. It's the simplest way to give if you've already established your fund.

Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCD)

If you're 70½ or older, you can make a tax-free gift up to $108,000 directly to Cambridge Health Alliance from your IRA Account in 2025. Your gift is not included in taxable income from your IRA. If you are age 73 or older, a QCD gift can satisfy your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) and excludes the amount from your taxable income.
