The next session of the 2018-2019 CHA Global Health and Human Rights seminar will take place on Monday October 15th, from 12-1pm in room 4-B-11 (4th floor) at the CHA Central Street Care Center.

Emily Nagisa Keehn will discuss “Health and Human Rights in South African Prisons.” Ms. Keehn is Associate Director of the Academic Program of the Human Rights Program at Harvard Law School. She previously worked in South Africa as the head of policy development and advocacy at Sonke Gender Justice in Cape Town where she developed cases for strategic litigation, and directed parliamentary engagement, research, and advocacy related to health, gender equality, sexual and gender-based violence, policing, and penal reform. Her presentation will be based on this work.
