Multispecialty Lung Clinic

Alert: Most CHA centers and services will be open on Presidents' Day (Monday, February 17th). Please see this schedule for details.

Dr. Alex WhiteAlex White, MD - Division Chief, Pulmonary, Critical Care & Sleep Medicine

Patients with suspected lung disease often need to see several specialists quickly to determine next steps in care. In the past, CHA patients with possible lung cancer would see providers in Pulmonology, Oncology and Thoracic Surgery at separate visits, usually on different days. Today, they can see doctors from all three areas in our Multispecialty Lung Clinic.

Patients visiting the Multispecialty Lung Clinic receive a same day comprehensive review. This leads to a faster and complete care plan (which may include more testing, treatment options or, with advanced disease, support from palliative care). This approach has worked well in academic medical centers. It will serve you well if you are in need.

The clinic is currently available at CHA Cambridge Hospital with quick appointment access. Patients with lung masses, lung nodules or other changes on a chest x-ray or chest CT that raise suspicion of cancer would benefit. Talk to your provider today for a referral.
