    Program Director, Adult Psychiatry Residency

    Amber Frank, MD, completed her undergraduate education at Swarthmore College and her medical school and residency training at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Frank’s clinical interests include work with traditionally underserved populations, emergency psychiatry, and the integration of psychotherapy into diverse treatment settings. Her areas of focus within medical education include curriculum development and diversity, equity, and inclusion. Drawing upon work in experiential education and leadership development prior to pursuing a career in medicine, Dr. Frank also has a strong interest in the integration of collaborative leadership models into academic medicine and training. Dr. Frank is an active member of the American Association of Directors of Psychiatric Residency Training (AADPRT), where she serves on the Psychotherapy Committee, is Chair of the Addictions Committee, and is a member of the Executive Council.

  • Ekta Taneja, MD

    Ekta Taneja, MDEkta Taneja, MD, is a graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park, and University of Maryland School of Medicine. She completed her Adult Psychiatry Residency at Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA), and has been a member of the psychiatry department at CHA since graduating from residency. Her clinical work is in Primary Care Behavioral Health Integration (PCBHI); her other clinical interests include working with patients with psychotic disorders, with underserved populations, and with integration of psychotherapy into brief treatment relationships. Her professional interests include expanding medical education in diversity, equity, and inclusion; and supporting colleagues during and after traumatic experiences. Dr. Taneja teaches multiple seminars, and supervises residents in her PCBHI clinics and for the Healthcare for the Homeless rotation. She currently is a member of the Diversity Steering Committee.

    Jess Collier grew up in Somerville and has worked at Cambridge Health Alliance for over ten years, including an eleven-year tenure in the Department of Pediatrics as a patient access representative and an administrative coordinator. She transitioned to the CHA Department of Psychiatry in 2017, when she assumed the role of administrative assistant to the Directors of Outpatient Psychiatry and Addictions at the Central Street Clinic. She has been the Program Administrator for the Adult Psychiatry Residency Program since April 2018. In the Residency Administrator role, Jess has led efforts to improve multiple training office functions including intern onboarding, resident licensing, and overall organization.
