Check Out the Local Farmers' Market or CSA!
CHA works with local community partners to link patients and families to vital resources so they can live healthy lives.

Access to food and food insecurity are major factors associated with the social determinants of health. Cambridge Health Alliance is committed to working with local community partners, including organizations like Project Bread, to link patients and families to vital resources, such as healthy food, so they can lead healthy lives.
Farmers' markets or Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) farm shares are a fun way to gain access to fresh and locally grown food in your neighborhood. Items purchased at a market are usually affordable, not much more expensive than typically grown produce, and can offer a greater variety than the grocery store. Small local farms support diversity, offering fruits and vegetables usually not found in the produce section at the large retail supermarket.
Markets or CSA distribution sites are usually a short drive, bike ride or walk away. Did you know that there are over 10 market locations in the area where folks can purchase fruits and veggies? And many accept WIC, Senior Coupons or EBT/SNAP, and some offer extra match money to increase the amount you can buy with these. Check out the list below.
