Secure hospital care for mental and behavioral health needs

Care Team

Adults with acute behavioral health conditions benefit from the care at CHA. Our expert team includes psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, nurses and occupational therapists.

Together, they work to identify patient needs, provide treatment, and identify the supports needed for continued care once the patient leaves the hospital. Treatment plans focus on assessing the patient, stabilizing their health and aftercare planning.

Acute Adult Services Overview:

  • Comprehensive evaluation
  • Medication assessment
  • Daily individual monitoring of mental status and medication compliance
  • Structured group treatment in a therapeutic milieu
  • Family assessment
  • Family meetings
  • Meetings with outpatient caregivers and other social supports
  • Case management

We also offer Consultation-Liaison (C-L) Services that help doctors and their patients manage mental health needs while the patient is undergoing medical care. Services are available at our hospital campuses as well as our primary care centers. Staff includes attending psychiatrists, who often have fellows, residents, or medical students working with them.
