Directions to The Family Studies Lab

Location

1035 Cambridge Street

The Family Studies Lab is a part of the Academic Research Center of the Cambridge Health Alliance, an affiliated hospital of Harvard Medical School. We are located at 1035 Cambridge St., Cambridge, MA, about one mile from the Harvard campus, at the intersection of Cambridge and Columbia Streets. We are on the second floor in Suite 26, which is on the front right side of the second floor.

To be let into the suite, ring the number posted near the suite door, 617-806-8712. If no one answers, ring Dr. Lyons-Ruth's posted number, 617-806-8715. If she does not answer, call her cell phone at 617-835-5507.

Once you enter the Suite, walk straight down the corridor and bear to the right. After bearing right, Dr. Lyons-Ruth's office is the second door on the right. If you have any trouble finding us, call Sarah Faso at 617-806-8712. . If she does not answer, call her cell phone at 408-483-0768.

If you are coming from Cambridge Hospital, just follow Cambridge St. northeast through Inman Square. We are six blocks up Cambridge St., at the corner of Cambridge and Columbia Sts.

Parking:

If you are coming by car, some parking is available along the Columbia street side of the building. The best route is to take Broadway to Columbia, then left on Columbia towards Cambridge St., and then look for parking after you cross Cambridge St.

Note that visitor parking in the spaces directly in front of the 1035 building are limited to 30 minutes.

Public Transportation:

If you are coming by subway from Boston, you can get the CT 1 bus at Central Square, which goes from the Central Square T stop to the intersection of Columbia and Cambridge Sts where 1035 is located. From the Harvard Square T stop, you can get the 69 bus that goes up Cambridge St. to the intersection of Columbia and Cambridge Sts.

If you are walking from Harvard Square, walk through the Harvard campus to the far corner from where you entered. You will come out of the gates near Memorial Hall -- just ask anyone where it is -- a large unusual old stone building where Broadway, then Cambridge Streets come together. Walk out Cambridge St. about one mile to 1035. You will pass Inman Square (intersection of Hampshire and Cambridge). We are six blocks past Inman Square.
