Public Safety Exercise at CHA East Cambridge Care Center on October 19
Cambridge, Mass. - On Wednesday, October 19, Cambridge Health Alliance will conduct a public safety exercise at the CHA East Cambridge Care Center (163 Gore St.) from 5 - 9 p.m. This training exercise, which will involve Cambridge Police, Cambridge Fire, Cambridge Emergency Communications, and Pro EMS, will test the response to an armed intruder. It is designed to enhance communication and coordination skills with first responders during a crisis.
The actual exercise is scheduled to take place between 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. There will be minor traffic impacts in the area; traffic units will be diverting and managing traffic on Gore Street. The Simoni Rink and Twin City Plaza will remain accessible during this time.
