Reconnect with your Care Team

CHA is making your health care safer and more convenient.

With Massachusetts beginning to reopen, you may have questions about health care at CHA. We’ve been with you all along, but if you weren’t sick, you may have stayed away. Now is a great time to put your health first and reconnect with your care team.

When you come back to CHA, you will find a redesigned health system. We are focused on providing you safe and convenient healthcare.

Many appointments at CHA are now by video or phone (telehealth). This includes video visits using Google Meet. CHA is the first health system in the country to connect Google Meet with MyChart - making it easy to have a video visit (even three-way visits with an interpreter) while keeping your information safe.

If you have a nagging health concern or a new issue, don’t wait. Just call or send us a MyChart message. We can help decide if a video, phone or in-person visit is right for you.

We are Gradually Reopening for face-to-face visits, starting with the most pressing needs. If you are coming in person, please know we are working hard to keep you safe:

  • All providers and patients are wearing masks at all times.
  • All patients are screened for COVID before their visit and when they arrive.
  • Everyone coming for surgery and other procedures are tested for COVID first.
  • We are separating patients with symptoms to provide safer care.
  • There are plexiglass dividers at check-in and new seating arrangements.
  • We are limiting the number of visitors and guests in our clinics.
  • We’re cleaning and disinfecting all areas all day, every day.

Do you need surgery or a procedure?
Many services were postponed because of COVID-19. We are starting to call patients with urgent needs to schedule care. We will let you know as soon as we can provide non-urgent procedures. Thank you for your patience.

Try the new CHA Somerville Urgent Care if you want to be seen in person and can’t wait for primary care. It is open every day 9 am – 9 pm for walk-in care at 33 Tower Street in Somerville.

Many people are still concerned about going out in public -- especially people with a chronic disease. We understand. Social distancing is still important. But we’re doing everything we can to make it easy and safe for you to get care.

And, if you are struggling with food, housing or other social issues, CHA can help. CHA Connect is an online resource that lists social services by zip code and area of need. It's easy to use. Just click on Resources and choose CHA Connect in MyCHArt. You can also call your care center and ask for a referral to a Patient Resource Coordinator. They can help you find resources in your community and get connected.
