After receiving an MSW from Boston University in 1993, David Summersby has worked as a clinical social worker in psychiatric hospitals and behavioral rehabilitation settings for the last 20 years. He joined the Cambridge Health Alliance in October 2012 after 11 years as the lead psychiatric social worker at Melrose Wakefield Hospital. He is the social work manager of both the geriatric and adult psychiatry units at CHA Everett Hospital. He has hired and supervised many successful social workers and social work interns who have gone on to professional positions throughout the Boston area.
