CHA PACE Reaches 600 Participants
Milestone for program that supports older adults who wish to continue living in the community
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - On September 1, CHA PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care of the Elderly) reached a milestone census of 600 participants. The growth of the program means that "more lower-income, older adults are getting the incredible healthcare benefits PACE offers, and, likewise, more people are supported in the community who might otherwise have to move to a nursing home," said Jed Geyerhahn, executive director.
PACE, with sites at the East Cambridge and Malden Care Centers, provides great doctors, rides to medical visits, medications, activities, and more. Participants are referred by providers across CHA and from healthcare professionals throughout the greater Boston area. Providers and participants value the comprehensive medical and social services PACE offers, allowing vulnerable, older adults to continue living in the community. Most PACE participants are dually eligible for both Medicare and Medicaid. For more information, please visit our CHA PACE page.
