Cambridge Breast Center Earns National Accreditation
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA), a community health system serving Cambridge, Somerville, and Boston’s metro-north communities, has received re-accreditation from the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC) for its Cambridge Breast Center. This accreditation program, operated by the American College of Surgeons, is the highest national standard for breast care.
"NAPBC accreditation is important to us and our patients," said Amy Moldren, MD, a fellowship-trained breast surgeon and the director of the Cambridge Breast Center. "It recognizes our commitment to providing high quality care for breast cancer and other breast disease, including early detection and ongoing care. It also shows that we meet or exceed all the national benchmarks for breast care and validates our team-based model that brings together amazing breast care experts to serve our patients."
The Cambridge Breast Center has a long history of exceptional patient care. It was the first site in Massachusetts to achieve NAPBC accreditation and has helped thousands of patients since it opened in 2005.
Patients who visit CHA today benefit from a wide range of expertise. This includes the latest diagnostic services from a nationally-designated Breast Imaging Center of Excellence, outstanding surgical care, including breast reconstruction plastic surgery, respected oncology services, and other support.
