Increasing Access for Psychiatry Services in Revere

Each year, one in five adults across the country experiences a mental illness and the demand for assistance is ever-increasing.

Psychiatry Services have always been a key component of CHA’s mission and we are proud of our nationally recognized Psychiatry Department. Since mental health is so important to our patients, we developed a Mental Health Substance Use (MHSU) strategic plan several years ago at the request of the CHA Board of Trustees. The plan identified several critical needs, including intermediate-level and transition services that will help patients move from one level of care to another efficiently.

We are thrilled to announce the launch of new Psychiatry Services for our patients at the CHA Revere Care Center, which include:

  • Outpatient Adult Services located on the second floor of the clinic with psychopharmacology and therapy.
  • And, located on the first floor, new Outpatient Child/Adolescent Services. The program will have psychopharmacology and therapy.

These new programs come on the heels of CHA opening the Psychiatry Access Service (PAS) at CHA Cambridge Hospital and the Adult Outpatient Psychiatry Services at CHA Everett Hospital in the last year. PAS combines three intermediate level services, and its Partial Hospital Program launches this week.
