CHA Everett Hospital Receives an “A” for Patient Safety in Fall 2017 Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grades
Everett, Mass. – CHA Everett Hospital, part of academic community health system Cambridge Health Alliance, has been awarded an “A” grade in the new Hospital Safety Grades released by The Leapfrog Group, a national nonprofit organization which rates how well hospitals protect patients from accidents, errors, injuries and infections. CHA Everett Hospital was one of 832 hospitals that earned an A for its commitment to keeping patients safe and meeting the highest safety standards in the U.S.

Developed under the guidance of Leapfrog’s Blue Ribbon National Expert Panel, the Hospital Safety Grade uses 27 measures of publicly available hospital safety data to assign A, B, C, D and F grades to more than 2,600 U.S. hospitals twice per year. The Score is designed to give the public information they can use to protect themselves and their families.
