U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren Visits CHA
On Friday, March 14, Cambridge Health Alliance hosted a visit from U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren at its Cambridge Hospital campus. Senator Warren toured CHA’s Emergency Department, which is nationally recognized for its improvements in patient flow and satisfaction, and its Child Assessment Unit, an award-winning inpatient psychiatric unit for children. CHA executives, clinical leaders, and trustees provided an extensive overview of the health system and detailed its essential role in caring for area residents and the region’s underserved, expanding access and advancing health reform, and developing innovations to improve the health of its communities, including primary care medical home growth and integrated behavioral health care.
Several elected officials and their staff members joined Senator Warren and her staff, including State Senator Sal DiDomenico, State Representatives Marjorie Decker and Jay Livingstone, and a representative for Congresswoman Katherine Clark.
