Additional Information

I am a primary care provider at the Everett Family Health and Revere Family Health Centers.

Initially, I became interested in pediatrics after college when I worked at Boston Medical Center in the pediatrics department. Most of the time I worked in the child development clinic, which diagnoses and treats developmental problems in children. I also spent time working with the Boston school system trying to connect children with appropriate services.

I loved pediatrics as well as adult internal medicine and I was lucky enough to go to a joint program, the Harvard Associated Medicine-Pediatrics Residency, which is based at several local hospitals. Most of my pediatric hospital work was done at Massachusetts General Hospital, with rotations at North Shore Medical Center and Newton Wellesley Hospital. During my time at Newton Wellesley, I was lucky enough to be awarded the Newton Wellesley Hospital Howard King Award for Outstanding Compassionate Patient Care. I also worked at the pediatric clinic at Martha Eliot Health Center, which is affiliated with Children’s Hospital. I had additional opportunities during residency to provide pediatric care in Panama, at a Navajo reservation, and in Durban, South Africa.

I chose pediatrics mostly because I love kids. I love their imagination, their silliness, and watching them grow. I feel strongly that kids should given all the tools they need to reach their potential. And good health is a key component of what is needed for kids to be successful.

What I like best about my job is the wonderful families I get to meet. I like getting to know families over time and watching their kids grow. Because I also practice adult internal medicine, it is also nice when I can treat both parents and their children.

Outside of work, I like to spend time with my one year old son, Oscar and my wife.
