I am a primary care physician at Windsor Health Center in Cambridge.
I chose pediatrics because I am interested in working with whole families, both children and parents. I enjoy seeing families over time as babies become children and then young adults. Being a constant presence in a family’s life is the greatest privilege.
A big influence in my decision to become a pediatrician was my experience doing public health projects during my medical training. Working with families in other countries has made me appreciate different cultural ideas about health. I had the chance to perform a health needs census in Machala, Ecuador and carried out a public health project in Bombay, India. I also had the opportunity to work in Sri Lanka after the Tsunami in a mobile pediatric clinic. Getting to work with families from different backgrounds, countries and cultures is a constant source of excitement in my work at CHA
More locally, I am pleased to be able to work as the Coordinator for Reach out and Read at Windsor, a program that provides books to our patients and promotes literacy. I also work as a consultant for a local Boys and Girls Club.
Outside of work you may see me biking around Somerville and Cambridge. I also enjoy cooking and spending time with my two young children and family.
