DEPARTMENT OF PSYCHIATRY
The Cambridge Health Alliance Department of Psychiatry is a nationally-respected
mental health provider that provides expert care for the complete
spectrum of emotional, behavioral, and learning disorders and addiction
concerns. Our programs are designed to evaluate and treat people
in the most appropriate setting, to understand their unique mental
health needs, and to help provide ongoing solutions for their health
issues.
Our world-class provider team includes more than 300 psychiatrists
and psychologists who are on the faculty of Harvard Medical School,
and a large number of highly-trained social workers, counselors,
and nurses.
As one of the largest mental health providers in Massachusetts
we offer a wide range of programs at several sites across the Greater
Boston region. This includes everything from outpatient counseling
and therapy to intensive inpatient programs and response to psychiatric
emergencies. We also offer specialty programs for patients of all
ages, and in multiple languages, based on clinical need.
As a primary teaching site for Harvard Medical School, the CHA
Department of Psychiatry is proud to offer top educational opportunities
in a number of clinical areas for several different professional
fields. We also have key research centers that are working to better
understand mental health conditions and develop better treatments.
