OCCUPATIONAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL MEDICINE CONSULTATION
CLINIC
The Occupational and Environmental Medicine clinic evaluates and
treats individuals who have been exposed to chemicals or toxic substances
or have experienced on-the-job injuries.
Exposures may include lead, mercury, and other metals; solvents,
pesticides, and indoor air contaminants. Injuries often include
musculoskeletal disorders (repetitive strain injuries). Most patients
are self referred, or referred by physicians, lawyers, agencies,
unions, etc.
Care is provided by a team of doctors who are board certified in
both Internal Medicine and Occupational/Environmental Medicine and
an expert support staff.
In addition, the Occupational and Environmental Medicine Consultation
Clinic:
- Does Toxicological Assessments
- Arranges and interprets environmental assessments
- Assists with worker compensation issues
