invasive surgical services for benign gynecological cases and major
gynecological surgeries such as:
- Hysterectomy

- Sterilization
Adolescent Gynecology
To meet the needs of the community, we have established an Adolescent
Gynecology specialty. Through this service, we provide medical staff
with expertise in gynecologic issues that are common in a younger
population, as well as provide a setting which is sensitive to the
concerns of adolescents. This service is available at several Alliance
sites, including the Teen
Health Center in Cambridge and the Somerville
Teen Connection.
Menopause Issues
Many of our gynecologists have clinical interests in the treatment
of menopause. Menopause actually includes three stages: perimenopause
(early symptoms), menopause and post-menopause (when menopause transition
has ended). While staying current about the latest findings on hormone
replacement, our doctors will discuss with you the many conventional
and alternative therapies for your stage. Then you and your doctor
will decide what treatment is best for your case. Our doctors also
advise patients about strategies to help manage the unique stresses
that can come during this transition. This advice is often offered
during office visits, as well as in "Managing Menopause"
seminars.
