NURSING COUNCIL

The Nursing Council at Cambridge Health Alliance is a dynamic, diverse and dedicated group of professionals who are committed to nursing practice. It is comprised of staff nurses and nursing leadership who represent the full breadth of nursing services found in our regional system.

The goal of the Nursing Council is to provide a collaborative forum that works to ensure quality, evidence-based nursing practice. We encourage participation of all nurses and emphasize shared decision-making to improve our work environment, career development, and patient care.

Much of the Council's work is conducted through five sub-councils, each of which is co-led by a staff nurse and a member of nursing leadership.

The sub-councils are:

  • Staff Development
  • Clinical Ladder
  • Recruitment & Retention
  • Policy & Procedure
  • Performance Improvement

Over the past year the Council has made significant contributions to nursing practice and has made the Alliance a better place to work and receive care. We look forward to continuing to make a difference in the lives of our colleagues, our patients and our communities.
