Joan Bennett
Senior Vice President, Human Resources

Joan Bennett is the Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA). Ms. Bennett provides leadership for all of CHA's human capital that supports the vision, mission, and strategies of the organization. She oversees recruitment and retention, union negotiations, employee relations, salary and wage administration, performance management, HRIS, benefits, and organizational development.

Ms. Bennett was integral to CHA's service reconfiguration, instituted in 2009, which impacted over 600 employees. She worked closely with all of CHA's 14 bargaining units to guarantee adherence to contract guidelines and negotiate concessions that were critical to ensuring CHA's fiscal stability. Additionally, Ms. Bennett oversaw compliance with HR standards for CHA's most recent Joint Commission survey, for which CHA received an outstanding score.

Prior to coming to CHA, Ms. Bennett served as Vice President of Human Resources and Chief Compliance Officer at Lawrence & Memorial Hospital, New London, CT. She earned her bachelor's degree at Emmanuel College and received her Master of Education from Boston University.
