Dr. Jean
Frazier is Director of the Child and Adolescent Neuropsychiatric Research
Program at Cambridge Health Alliance. This program evaluates and studies
youths with bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and pervasive developmental
disorders, as well as youths at risk of developing these disorders.
There are
multiple research protocols underway, including investigations into phenomenology,
neuroimaging, genetics, and treatment intervention. We are one of few
research sites in the country committed to the inclusion of the most severely
mentally ill children, particularly those with psychotic disorders. Several
of our studies are multi-site efforts, with collaborative institutions
across the country and around the world.
The lab comprises
a multidisciplinary team of mental health clinicians and researchers,
including child psychiatrists and trainees, neuropsychologists, neuroimaging
physicists, research coordinators, a child and adolescent psychiatric
nurse practitioner, and a developmental pharmokinetics expert. Our research
program is located within the Center for Child and Adolescent Development,
thus providing integrated clinical and research programs for these populations
and their families.
