Cambridge Health Alliance is home to groundbreaking neuropsychiatric research programs for children and adolescents. Led by Jean Frazier, MD, Associate Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, the Child and Adolescent Neuropsychiatric Research Program is currently undertaking several neuroimaging and treatment studies of youths with bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and pervasive developmental disorders, as well as youths at risk of developing these disorders. We are one of few research sites in the country committed to working with some of the most severely mentally ill children, particularly those with psychotic disorders. Our current

Several of these studies are multi-site efforts that involve institutions across the country and around the world. Together, we hope to help improve the understanding of these mental health conditions and help determine the best types of treatment - ultimately improving the lives of children and their families.
