CORE STAFF

Marshall Forstein, MD
Director of Training, Division of Adult Psychiatry, The Cambridge Hospital; Associate Professor of Psychiatry, Harvard Medical School

Dr. Forstein attended The College of Medicine, University of Vermont after a career of teaching high school English, where he developed a lifelong interest in teaching and education. He completed an internship at Presbyterian Hospital, Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco and his residency in psychiatry at the Massachusetts General Hospital. He teaches medical students and is a core faculty member in the Division of Palliative Care at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Forstein has been a principal investigator on an HIV Education and Training Grant through the federal Center for Mental Health Services, and teaches and has published on the neuropsychiatry and psychosocial aspects of the HIV/AIDS epidemic.

He is a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and has been appointed to the Residency Review Committeee for Psychiatry of The Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education.

 

 

 

 

Matthew Ruble, MD
Associate Director of Training, Division of Adult Psychiatry, Cambridge campus; Clinical Instructor in Psychiatry, Harvard Medical School

Dr. Ruble attended the University of Iowa School of Medicine and completed his residency at The Cambridge Hospital where he served as Chief Resident in Psychopharmacology. He was Director of Psychopharmacology for our Behavioral Medicine Department before becoming Associate Director. His research interests include the interface of psychodynamics and psychopharmacology and the treatment of affective disorders.

Dr. Ruble teaches and supervises medical students and residents. He recently recieved a grant from Harvard Medical School to develop a program "Residents As Teachers" at Cambridge Health Alliance.

 

Robert P. Tetirick, MA
Adult Psychiatry Training Coordinator

Bob has over 15 years experience in health care administration with a strong interest in community and public health. He is a graduate of Northwestern University where he obtained a BA in Russian Social Sciences and an MA in Russian Language and Literature. His experience and interests include acting and singing professionally. Most recently he has been a manager of a medical department in a community health center, where he was involved in medical student and resident education.
