Cambridge Health Alliance is a nationally renowned health care system with strong clinical, academic, and research programs. Through our affiliations with Harvard Medical School and the Tufts University School of Medicine, CHA has provided top educational opportunities for over 30 years.

Residency and Training Programs

We are proud to offer residency and training programs in a variety of disciplines (see menu below). These hospital and community experiences are enhanced by our university affiliations, diverse patient population, and public health mission.

If you are interested in a preliminary medicine year, check out our Transitional Year Residency. This program is sponsored by our Department of Medicine and has many features in common with typical preliminary medicine years. Click here for more.

Medical Student Electives

Many of our clinical departments host medical student electives. Interested students should inquire directly with the appropriate specialty department.
