The Asian Mental Health Program is a special program for people from Asia and the Indian sub-continent. Our work covers the fields of psychiatry, psychology, social work, and family therapy. We provide care in a safe and sensitive setting.
Our staff understands the Asian and Indian cultures. We speak many languages including Japanese, Cantonese, Vietnamese, and several Indian dialects. We also have interpreters available for all other Asian languages.
Our programs deal with common, everyday issues including:
- stress anxiety and panic attacks
- trauma depression
- child behavior/learning problems adapting to life in the U.S.
- marriage and relations issues
- family violence loss of a loved one dealing with mental illness
Please note: Due to a high demand for our services,
CHA is prioritizing appointments for patients who are either enrolled
in Primary Care at CHA or are residents of our service area (Cambridge,
Chelsea, Everett, Malden, Revere, Somerville, and Winthrop, MA). If you
or your child do not meet these criteria, our staff may be able to
assist you in finding a referral service.
