Orthopaedic Surgeon Jason Freedman, MD, Joins Cambridge Health Alliance

Cambridge, MA...Orthopaedic surgeon Jason Freedman, MD, has joined the staff at Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA), a Harvard-affiliated public healthcare system. Dr. Freedman, who specializes in sports medicine and shoulder surgery and is accepting new patients, will provide care at both CHA's Cambridge Hospital campus and the CHA Assembly Square center in Somerville.

Dr. Freedman arrives at CHA with broad experience in general orthopaedics and specialized fellowship training in sports medicine and shoulder surgery. Board certified in orthopaedic surgery, he provides expertise in a variety of specialties, including minimally invasive arthroscopy, shoulder and knee reconstruction, treatment of degenerative arthritis, and fracture management.

"My practice philosophy is to provide comprehensive musculoskeletal care of the highest quality, with personalized attention to every patient," said Dr. Freedman. "I believe listening to and developing a partnership with my patients leads to an accurate diagnosis and optimized recovery process."

Dr. Freedman most recently served in private practice in Sherman Oaks, Calif. He earned his medical degree at the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, conducted his residency in orthopaedic surgery at UCLA Medical Center, and completed a sports medicine, shoulder, and elbow surgery fellowship at Congress Medical Associates in Pasadena, Calif.
