Cambridge, MA…Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA), which operates three hospital campuses and a network of primary and specialty care practices in Cambridge, Somerville, and Boston’s metro-north communities, held its ninth annual golf Invitational on Monday, August 6th, at the Granite Links Golf Club at Quarry Hills in Quincy. The event raised $107K to support CHA and its critical community health mission.
Proceeds from the CHA Invitational will benefit Patient Experience of Care Initiatives at CHA’s Cambridge, Somerville, and Whidden Hospital campuses. Funds raised this year will help CHA develop better electronic communications with its patients. Through video and other visual displays, CHA aims to support a better understanding of healthy living and also connect patients to the information they need for specific conditions or concerns.
Since CHA held its first golf tournament in 2004, almost $700,000 has been raised to fund significant projects, including expanded Cardiology services and an upgrade to the Maternity Suite at CHA’s Cambridge Hospital campus.
“The kindness and compassion of the Invitational’s participants and sponsors will help support initiatives that benefit all of our patients and improve the health of the communities we serve,” said Deborah Murphy, RN, Site Administrator of CHA’s Whidden Hospital campus and co-chair of the event.
Sponsors who supported the Invitational at the Silver level ($5,000) were All Care Visiting Nurse Association and Hospice, Brattle Courier, Cataldo Ambulance Service, Distrigas of Massachusetts, LLC, Eastpointe Rehab and Skilled Care Center, IST/ImageTech, Professional Ambulance and Oxygen Service, Inc., Sodexo, and Standard Parking.
