Cambridge, Mass. - Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA) nurse Sheran Woodroffe, RN, has been honored with a 2013 Excellence in Nursing Award from the New England Regional Black Nurses Association, Inc. (NERBNA). The award, bestowed upon members by their peers, recognizes individuals for their contributions and meritorious efforts in the field of nursing.
As an ambulatory nurse at CHA, Ms. Woodroffe regularly performs rotations at three to four primary care practices in the healthcare system’s network of sites in Cambridge, Somerville, and Boston’s metro-north communities. In addition to integrating seamlessly into each practice, she has excelled in incorporating her knowledge of the assorted processes at CHA’s network of practices to develop best practices to improve the quality and delivery of care in the clinics.
“Sheran displays not only a profound respect and empathy which she shares with all her patients but also an incredible willingness to take on new responsibilities and help make us better caregivers,” said Elizabeth Cadigan, MSN, RN, CHA’s Chief Nursing Officer. “We congratulate her on this honor and are proud to have her represent the face of nursing at CHA."
Ms. Woodroffe will be honored at NERBNA's 25th Annual Excellence in Nursing Award Celebration on February 22 at the Boston Marriott Copley Place.
