Qualifications for the Fellowship
Doctoral candidates in APA or CPA-approved clinical and counseling psychology graduate programs, who have completed an APA or CPA-approved clinical internship, may apply for fellowships (applicants attending accredited school psychology programs, or clinical psychology graduate programs with pending accreditations, will be considered). Fellows are also expected to have met all requirements for the doctorate, including the dissertation, prior to starting the fellowship. Facility with verbal and written expression, as well as an excellent academic record is essential. Prior clinical work in both therapy and assessment, commitment to work in the public sector, and experience with persons with severe and persistent mental illness are strongly recommended. People from diverse racial and cultural backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Please note, however, that unfortunately the hospital is not able to sponsor H-1B Visas for postdoctoral fellows.
How to apply for the Fellowship
We invite you to apply to become a Psychology Fellow by clicking here.
Please note that we do not accept applications via hard copy. The website will direct through the process of submitting your APPIC application, additional materials and supporting documentation (including letters of recommendation) electronically. Applications are due on January 5.
We notify applicants we intend to interview in February and we do not accept applicants we do not interview. Applicants who interview with us meet with training directors, core faculty, and current fellows and also have an opportunity to tour the campus.
If you have any questions about the training programs, or the application process, please call the Psychology Training Coordinator at 617-665-1183.
Thank you for your interest in Cambridge Health Alliance.
