The Tuberculosis program at Cambridge Health Alliance
consists of clinical services conducted at the Schipellite Chest
Center, and prevention, education and case management through the
Cambridge Public Health Department.
The Schipellite Chest Center, located at the Cambridge
campus Multispecialty clinic, is staffed by 4 physicians and 4 public
health nurses. The center currently sees patients on Monday afternoons
and Thursday mornings.
Patients of the Schipellite Chest Center receive X-rays, lab tests,
medications and all visits free of charge. The Massachusetts Department
of Public Health reimburses Cambridge Health Alliance for each service.
Please note that this clinic does not do TB skin testing for routine
work-related requirements.
When calling to refer a patient for routine TB services, please
include the date and size in millimeters of the patient’s TB skin
test.
