CHA is now using the Stryker Mako robot for Joint Replacement Surgery.
This state-of-the-art system helps our surgeons perform knee and hip replacements with accuracy and precision. As a CHA patient, you’ll get expert care, using cutting edge technology, in a friendly community hospital setting.
How it Works
Before surgery, you’ll get a CT scan which is used to develop a 3D model of your joint. This lets your surgeon evaluate your bonestructure, joint disease, joint position and even the surrounding bone and tissue.
We use this information to create a personal surgery plan based on your unique health needs.
During surgery, your surgeon guides the arm on the Mako robot, which uses AccuStop™ haptic technology. This allows your surgeon to cut less and help protect your healthy bone.
As a result, robotic surgery patients often have better outcomes - such as less pain and shorter recovery times compared to traditional joint replacement surgery. That means you can get back to the things you love, quicker.
