Asian
Mental Health Program
The
Asian Mental Health Program is a special program for people from
Asia and the Indian sub-continent. Our staff speaks many languages.
This includes Japanese, Cantonese, Vietnamese, and several Indian
dialects. We also have interpreters for all other Asian languages.
Our staff also
understands the Asian and Indian cultures. They want to give people
a chance to talk about their everyday issues and improve their lives.
Our work covers
the fields of psychiatry, psychology, social work, and family therapy.
We provide care in a safe and sensitive setting.
Our programs
deal with common, everyday issues including:
stress
anxiety and panic attacks
trauma
depression
child behavior/learning problems |
adapting
to life in the U.S.
marriage and relations issues
family violence
loss of a loved one
dealing with mental illness |

Due
to a high demand for our services, CHA is prioritizing
appointments for patients enrolled in Primary Care at CHA, and to
residents of our service area (Cambridge, Chelsea, Everett, Malden,
Revere, Somerville, and Winthrop, MA).
If you or your
child do not meet these criteria, our staff may be able to assist
you in finding a referral service.
