Asian Mental Health Program

The Asian Mental Health Program is a special program for people from Asia and the Indian sub-continent. Our staff speaks many languages. This includes Japanese, Cantonese, Vietnamese, and several Indian dialects. We also have interpreters for all other Asian languages.

Our staff also understands the Asian and Indian cultures. They want to give people a chance to talk about their everyday issues and improve their lives.

Our work covers the fields of psychiatry, psychology, social work, and family therapy. We provide care in a safe and sensitive setting.

Our programs deal with common, everyday issues including:

stress
anxiety and panic attacks
trauma
depression
child behavior/learning problems
adapting to life in the U.S.
marriage and relations issues
family violence
loss of a loved one
dealing with mental illness

Due to a high demand for our services, CHA is prioritizing appointments for patients enrolled in Primary Care at CHA, and to residents of our service area (Cambridge, Chelsea, Everett, Malden, Revere, Somerville, and Winthrop, MA).

If you or your child do not meet these criteria, our staff may be able to assist you in finding a referral service.
