RHEUMATOLOGY AND ARTHRITIS CARE

CHA rheumatologists help patients who suffer from a variety of inflammatory and autoimmune diseases. These include all forms of arthritis (rheumatoid arthritis/osteoarthritis), autoimmune diseases like lupus, muscle and bone disorders, and bone loss (osteoporosis).

Rheumatology services are currently available at several sites in the CHA system and our rheumatology team works closely with orthopaedic and rehabilitation staff to provide comprehensive care.

The Osteoporosis Center: This special service helps patients with metabolic bone disease or low bone density. Staff rheumatologists specialize in Osteoporosis, Osteomalacia, Paget's Disease, and other bone conditions.

Bone density testing is available at both the CHA Cambridge Hospital and CHA Whidden Hospital campuses.
