Cambridge Health Alliance Staff to Lunch with Seniors and Discuss Emergency Care

On Tuesday, May 18, Cambridge Health Alliance clinicians will deliver a talk about the "Senior Experience in the Emergency Department" at the Somerville Senior Center. Somerville Hospital Site Chief of Emergency Medicine Ralph Upchurch and ED Nurse Manager Be-Verlyn Navarro will touch on assorted topics, including when to go to the emergency department, what to bring, and what to expect on arrival and during evaluation. They will also discuss numerous changes at the Somerville Hospital ED which have led to enhanced quality, improved patient satisfaction, and shorter wait times.

The presentation is at 12 p.m., and it is free and open to the public. Lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m. Please RSVP with the Somerville Council on Aging - 617-625-6600, ext. 2300. The event is part of a monthly series called "Lunch with the Doctor."
