Cambridge Health Alliance Names New Director of Perioperative Services

Brenda McKonly, MSN, MBACambridge, MA…Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA), a Harvard-affiliated public healthcare system that serves Cambridge, Somerville, and Boston's Metro-North region, has named Brenda McKonly, MSN, MBA, its new Director of Perioperative Services.

McKonly brings over 30 years of experience to CHA. She most recently served as the Nursing Director for Perioperative Services at Children's Hospital in Philadelphia, a role she held for 11 years. Prior to that, she worked at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston in various capacities, including Nurse Manager of its Operating Rooms.

In addition to her extensive background in perioperative nursing, Brenda is active within the nursing professional community, including past participation on the Executive Leadership Task Force of the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN). She has also published numerous articles on topics of patient safety.

McKonly earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Northeastern University and her Master of Science degree in Nursing Administration from Boston University. Additionally, she is a graduate of Boston University's Executive MBA Program.
