2010 Annual Melvin H. Chalfen, MD, Lecture on Public Health:
"Microsystems, Accountabilities, and the Redesign of Everyday
Care"
Cambridge Health Alliance presents the 7th Annual Melvin H. Chalfen,
MD, Lecture on Public Health, featuring Paul B. Batalden, MD, a
professor of pediatrics at Dartmouth Medical School and director
of the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Leadership Preventive Medicine Residency
Program. Over his 40-year career, Dr. Batalden has made significant
contributions to the fields of medical education and health care
quality. His presentation will focus on clinical microsystems within
healthcare, defined as small groups of people who work together
regularly to provide care to discrete patient populations, as a
framework for improving health delivery. The lecture is free and
open to the public.
