2009 Annual Melvin H. Chalfen, MD, Lecture on Public Health:
"Research-Based Advocacy for Public Health"
Cambridge Health Alliance presents the 6th Annual Melvin H. Chalfen,
MD, Lecture on Public Health, featuring Sidney M. Wolfe, MD, director
of the Health Research Group at Public Citizen, a national, nonprofit
consumer advocacy organization. Over his 40-year career, Dr. Wolfe
has been a leading voice on drug safety, foods, medical devices,
and greater consumer control over health decisions. He was recently
appointed to the FDA's Drug Safety and Risk Management Committee.
His presentation will focus on prescription drugs, worker health,
and health care delivery. A reception will follow the lecture, which
is free and open to the public.

The Melvin H. Chalfen, MD, Lecture Series is designed to promote
the exchange of ideas and innovations that address quality of patient
care, with emphasis on issues related to health care policy and
health care disparities.
