Cambridge Health Alliance Experts Educate Local Residents on Drug Medications at Brown Bag Clinic
Malden, MA...Cambridge Health Alliance recently held a Brown Bag Clinic for the residents of the Robinson-Cuticura Mill Apartments in Malden. The informational event, so named because attendees were encouraged to place all their medications in a brown bag for review at the session, brought pharmacists into the community to answer people’s questions about their medications.
During the event, CHA pharmacists and pharmacy students from both the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and the University of Rhode Island met one-on-one with more than 30 residents from the apartment complex. Activities included reviewing medications, checking for potential drug interactions, looking for expired medications, and educating residents about other important health issues.
Staff from the new CHA Malden Family Medicine Center at 195 Canal Street also attended to inform seniors about the wide range of services now available at the site. To find out more about the CHA Malden Family Medicine Center, call 781-338-0500 or visit www.challiance.org/malden.
