Cambridge Health Alliance Board of Trustees Attracts Distinguished New Appointees
Cambridge, Chelsea, Everett, Malden, Medford, Revere, Somerville,
Winthrop, MA…Francis H. Duehay, Chair of the Trustees of Cambridge
Health Alliance (CHA), today announced new appointments to CHA's
Board of Trustees.
Robert W. Healy, City Manager of Cambridge, appoints the Trustees
and was pleased to name them recently. The new appointees are Paula
Paris, Deputy Director of JFYNetWorks, Boston, and Joshua Posner,
Founder and CEO of Rising Tide Development LLC, Cambridge, both
of whom bring a wealth of experience in community improvement and
social justice issues.
"Cambridge Health Alliance covers a broad spectrum of health
care services. We are invested in the health status of our communities;
we care for people of all ages, incomes, and backgrounds during
well visits and in sickness; and we are acknowledged leaders in
the education of health professionals. We are delighted to attract
new Trustees who understand the diversity of our community, the
complexity of our services, and who complement the composition of
our Board of Trustees," said Duehay, Chair of the Trustees.
Paula Paris is Deputy Director of JFYNetWorks, one of Boston's
leading nonprofit education and training organizations. She is responsible
for the company's institutional advancement and strategic planning.
Ms. Paris is also an adjunct faculty member of the School for Community
Economic Development at Southern New Hampshire University. Following
a brief career as a commercial banker, she held positions as a financial
analyst for Blue Cross Blue Shield, and as Director of Development
for both Jobs for Youth-Boston, Inc. and the Cambridge Friends School.
She earned a Master of Management in Human Services at Brandeis
University's Heller School for Social Policy and Management.
Joshua Posner is Founder and CEO of Rising Tide Development
LLC, Cambridge. He has developed affordable housing for over 25
years in a wide variety of settings in New England and elsewhere,
and he established Rising Tide Development in 2001 to focus on the
creation of new small-scale, mixed-income residential communities
in Massachusetts. Mr. Posner previously held a number of senior
roles at The Community Builders, a leading regional and national
nonprofit developer of affordable housing. Mr. Posner has also served
as Board President and Director of The Guidance Center, the largest
mental health and family support social service organization in
Cambridge and Somerville. He holds a master's degree in public administration
from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
Mary Cassesso and Jonathan Stearns (Somerville Trustees), Maxwell
Solet (a Cambridge Trustee) and Ronald Weintraub, MD (CHA Medical
Staff Trustee) have all been reappointed to the Board.
In addition, CHA acknowledges Mary Ann Hart, RN, a Cambridge resident,
who is stepping down after years of dedicated service.
Cambridge
Health Alliance is a regional healthcare system with three hospitals
and more than twenty primary care practices in Cambridge, Somerville,
and Boston's metro-North communities. As a teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School, Cambridge Health Alliance offers medical
residency/training programs and undergraduate learning experiences
in hospital and community settings. Cambridge Health Alliance also
includes the Cambridge Public Health Department, CHA Physician's
Organization (CHAPO), and Network Health, a managed Medicaid and
Commonwealth Care plan.
