HEALTH ALLIANCE WELCOMES NEW APPOINTEES TO BOARD OF TRUSTEES

Chelsea, Everett, Medford, Revere, Somerville, Winthrop, MA…Francis
H. Duehay, Chair of the Trustees of Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA)
today announced new appointments to CHA's Board of Trustees.
Robert
W. Healy, City Manager of Cambridge, appoints the Trustees and was
pleased to name John Pratt, Associate Director of the Whitehead
Institute for Biomedical Research, Cambridge; Ronald Weintraub,
MD, CHA surgeon and Associate Professor of Cardiothoracic Surgery
at Harvard Medical School; and Lucian L. Leape, MD, Adjunct
Professor of Health Policy at the Harvard School of Public Health.
Dr. Leape previously served on CHA's Joint Hospital Board. Dr. Weintraub
will also be serving on the board of the Alliance Foundation for
Community Health.
Mr.
Pratt, Dr. Weintraub, and Dr. Leape will be replacing three trustees
who are stepping down after years of dedicated service: Richard
Cornell, MD, Jay Burke, MD, and Elaine DeRosa. Ms. DeRosa will continue
to serve on CHA's Joint Hospital Board and as Chair of the Joint
Public Health Board.
