HEALTH ALLIANCE NAMES NEW DIRECTOR OF PERIOPERATIVES SERVICES
Cambridge,
Chelsea, Everett, Malden, Medford, Revere, Somerville, Winthrop,
MA….Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA) is pleased to announce the appointment
of Cathy Lauder, RN, as the new Director of Perioperative Services
for CHA’s three campuses - The Cambridge Hospital, Somerville Hospital,
and Whidden Memorial Hospital.
Lauder
will be responsible to ensure a safe and effective environment of
care for the surgical patient. She will work closely with CHA’s
Chief of Surgery, Steven Schwaitzberg, MD, as well as the site directors
of Surgery, Senior Directors of Nursing, and the Chiefs of Anesthesia,
Orthopaedics, and Obstetrics/Gynecology.
Lauder’s
professional career spans nearly 20 years in perioperative care.
She has served as nurse manager of surgical services at CHA’s Whidden
Memorial Hospital campus and has previously served as manager and
clinical nurse at Oakwood Heritage Hospital in Taylor, Michigan.
Lauder received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from St. Francis
Medical Center College of Nursing in Peoria, Illinois and has completed
her training as an RNFA (RN First Assistant).
